Now you will note that the medical examination is conducted by a doctor designated by the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The reason for this medical exam is to determine if the applicant has any medical conditions that would make them inadmissible to the United States. There are also blood tests that will need to completed as well as a check on the applicants vaccination status. Note that this is done before your visa interview.
