Getting married in Rwanda
In order to get married in Rwanda, you will need to follow the country’s marriage laws and requirements. As an American you will also need a freedom to marry letter from the Embassy. This will need to be verified, certified and translated. In Rwanda you will need to be at least 18 years old. You will also need to ensure that one of the parties must have been resident in Rwanda for at least 15 days before the wedding. The original divorce decrees must also be shown.
