There is also the US Embassy in Lebanon as well as the US Embassy in Jordan. The US Embassy in Libya was closed in 2014 and it remains closed as of my knowledge in 2023. Americans in Libya are advised to avoid all travel to the country due to ongoing conflict and instability. The U.S. Department of State is unable to provide consular services to U.S. citizens in Libya and may be limited in its ability to assist Americans who travel there. U.S. citizens in need of assistance should contact the U.S. Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia, which has jurisdiction over U.S. interests in Libya.
