US Embassy in Eritrea
Note that this Embassy will also be able to issue you with a certificate of capacity of marry if you are getting married in Eritrea. They can also assist you with an immigrant visa or a non-immigrant visa while in Africa. Note that in Eritrea, the legal age for marriage is 18 years old for both men and women. However, with the consent of their parents or guardians, individuals as young as 15 years old may get married.
This is governed by the Eritrean Civil Code and the Personal Status Law. You will note that polygamy is allowed in Eritrea, but the conditions for it are regulated by law.
