US Embassy in Botswana
The US Embassy in Botswana can assist you as a US citizen with a new passport of you have lost your passport while in Botswana or they can also renew the passport or provide you with a temporary travel document. They can assist you as a notary public and you may also register a birth or a death while in Botswana.

In Botswana, the minimum legal age for marriage is 21 years, although this can be lowered to 18 years with written consent from both parents or guardians. Again the issue of polygamous marriages. These are allowed, but each wife must have entered into the marriage with full knowledge of the other wives.
