If you lost your passport or if the passport got stolen. Yjen you will need to report the passport to the police. You will then need a case number for the US Embassy in order to obtain a new passport or travel document. If you are getting married then you will need a freedom to marry letter from the Embassy. This needs to be verified, translated and certified for the local government. You can then only register your marriage.
